What does your shop window look like?

I’ve driven past the same housing development at least once week since it started. It’s been fascinating to see the speed that it’s been built and how they’ve managed the traffic issues around the development.

Now that the road has been finished (a painful 3 months of diversion) and the first houses have been built, the sales area and show home are ready to go and quite frankly, they’re fabulous – bright greens, colourful planting, neat landscaping. Everything they should be. I’ve barely noticed the houses themselves but boy am I tempted to go and take a look because it makes me aspire to live in a place that looks so beautiful.

I’d like to say it’s one of ours, but on this occasion it isn’t. But it does remind me how critical it is to create a stunning “shop window” for a development to create that personal aspiration and picture yourself in one of those homes.
….and makes me a little desperate to do something about my own, rather boring “shop window”!
